FedEx One Rate Overnight Prices 2026 by Service

FedEx One Rate overnight prices for Standard, Priority and First Overnight by packaging and zone band, with delivery times and Alaska and Hawaii limits.

FedEx One Rate overnight starts at $39.90. That is the Standard Overnight envelope in the local zone, rising to $41.55 regional and $55.60 national. Priority Overnight starts at $49.50 and First Overnight at $103.50. All three are FedEx Express services with a flat price set by the packaging and the zone band.

Every price here is from FedEx's published One Rate list prices, effective April 20, 2026, in the FedEx One Rate pricing PDF. They are FedEx's list prices, not what a GoatLabels label costs, and no account-specific discounts apply to them. Check the PDF before you quote a customer.

The three One Rate overnight services and their delivery commitments

All three deliver the next business day and differ in how early. FedEx's wording, from its overnight shipping page, is:

  • Standard Overnight (afternoon). Next-business-day delivery by 5:00 p.m. to U.S. businesses and by 8 p.m. to residences. FedEx notes it is available in all 50 states, but only to addresses where the Priority Overnight commitment is 10:30 a.m. or noon.
  • Priority Overnight (mid-morning). Delivery the next business day by 10:30 a.m. to most businesses in the contiguous U.S. and by noon to most residences.
  • First Overnight (early morning). Delivery the next business day morning by 8 a.m., 8:30 a.m., 9 a.m. or 9:30 a.m. to most areas, with extended delivery locations up to 2 p.m. The One Rate table lists this service as next day by 8 or 8:30 a.m.

These services deliver Monday to Friday. Saturday delivery is available in certain areas for an extra charge that is not part of the One Rate price. Exact commitments depend on the ZIP code.

Overnight prices by packaging and zone band

FedEx sorts every One Rate shipment into one of three bands. Local is zone 2. Regional is zones 3 to 4. National is zones 5 to 8, plus Alaska and Hawaii shipments. To find your band, enter the origin and destination ZIP codes in FedEx's rate tools.

The price includes residential, delivery area and fuel surcharges. You must use FedEx packaging: an Envelope of 10 lb or less, or a Pak, box or Tube of 50 lb or less. Box sizes are in FedEx flat rate boxes.

Cheapest overnight: Standard Overnight envelope

The lowest One Rate overnight price is the FedEx Envelope on Standard Overnight: $39.90 local, $41.55 regional and $55.60 national. It is for documents and flat items that weigh 10 lb or less. FedEx re-rates an envelope as a box by cubic volume if it measures more than 3 inches along its shortest side, so do not overstuff it.

If the parcel does not have to arrive tomorrow, the FedEx Envelope on 2Day or Express Saver is $12.75 in every zone.

Priority Overnight vs Standard Overnight: what the extra buys

The extra buys time. Priority Overnight lands by 10:30 a.m. at most businesses and by noon at most residences. Standard Overnight can land as late as 5 p.m. at businesses and 8 p.m. at residences. FedEx's own page says that, typically, the later the commitment, the lower the price.

From the tables above, Priority costs more than Standard in every row:

  • Local: $6.70 (Small Box) to $12.65 (Extra Large Box or Tube) more.
  • Regional: $24.50 (Envelope) to $49.95 (Extra Large Box or Tube) more.
  • National: $26.35 (Envelope) to $64.20 (Extra Large Box or Tube) more.

First Overnight adds exactly $54.00 to the Priority Overnight price in every packaging type and every band. That is the cost of an 8 or 8:30 a.m. arrival. The Standard to Priority gap grows with distance.

Is FedEx Priority Overnight Express or Ground?

Express. Priority Overnight is one of the six FedEx Express services that qualify for One Rate: Express Saver, 2Day, 2Day A.M., Standard Overnight, Priority Overnight and First Overnight. FedEx Ground and Home Delivery have no flat rate. Our FedEx One Rate vs Priority Mail Flat Rate post covers that split.

Alaska and Hawaii limits

Alaska and Hawaii shipments are priced in the national band. That covers shipments between the contiguous U.S., Alaska and Hawaii in either direction, and shipments within Alaska. The limits:

  • Standard Overnight (and 2Day A.M.) service in Hawaii is outbound only.
  • One Rate pricing is not available for shipments within Hawaii.
  • Express Saver is not available for Alaska and Hawaii shipments.
  • FedEx says deliveries to and from select ZIP codes in Alaska and Hawaii can differ from contiguous U.S. delivery times.

When FedEx list-rate overnight can cost less than One Rate

One Rate is an alternative to FedEx Standard List Rates, account-specific rates and FedEx Retail Rates, not a replacement for them. List rates are built on weight and zone. A light parcel going a short distance can come in under the flat price, while a dense, heavy box going far is where a flat price helps most.

Two other cases favor list or account rates. One Rate stops at 50 lb and requires FedEx packaging, while FedEx says its regular overnight service takes packages up to 150 lb each, in your own packaging if you prefer. And if you have a FedEx account with discounts, those do not apply to the One Rate tables. This page prints no list-rate figures, so price the same parcel both ways before you choose.

If you also compare UPS, the closest counterpart to Standard Overnight is UPS Next Day Air Saver, which delivers by the end of the next business day. Our UPS Next Day Air rates page covers its pricing. GoatLabels shows USPS, UPS and FedEx on domestic parcels (DHL on international lanes) side by side, paid from a prepaid wallet, with no monthly fee on Free (up to 50 shipments a month).
