For international orders, GoatLabels rate-shops USPS against DHL and FedEx international services per parcel — options Pirate Ship's two-carrier lineup can't quote.
DHL and FedEx run their own international networks. Now they are in the same quote list.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, or crypto — international labels come out of the same balance.
Domestically, a short carrier list is usually survivable — one carrier is cheapest on most small parcels and you buy it. Cross-border, the networks diverge: routing, transit time, customs handling and price all change per destination, which is exactly when having more than two quotes stops being a nicety.
| GoatLabels | Pirate Ship | |
|---|---|---|
| International carriers quoted | USPS international services alongside DHL and FedEx cross-border services. | USPS and UPS — whatever those two offer for the destination. |
| Choosing per destination | Every parcel is re-quoted, so a Canadian order and an Australian one can leave on different carriers. | The choice is between the two carriers on the platform. |
| Customs paperwork | Customs details are part of the shipment, and Billy can draft them from the order text. | Customs forms are collected in their flow. |
| What the quote means | One all-in number per carrier, and that exact amount leaves your prepaid balance. | Postage priced at their rates — check their site for current terms. |
| Monthly cost to keep the door open | None. Fund a wallet, pay per label, ship nothing in February and pay nothing. | Also nothing — the model worth keeping, and we kept it. |
| Programmatic access | Public REST API — rate, buy, void, track — free and unlimited on every plan. | No public API to build against. |
Pirate Ship is a trademark of its owner and is not affiliated with GoatLabels. Their carrier lineup and rates change — check their current site before you decide.
Every carrier has countries where its network is thin and the price shows it. With two carriers you have two chances of the destination being one somebody routes well. With four you have four, and you find out in one quote instead of by regret.
Express international is the lane DHL and FedEx built their networks around. If the buyer needs a date, comparing only economy options is not a comparison — it is a hope, and the refund request comes three weeks later.
Weight and size limits differ by carrier and service, and international caps bite sooner than domestic ones. A parcel that falls outside one carrier's economy tier is not undeliverable — it is just quoted by a carrier you could not see.
The model does not change: fund a prepaid wallet with card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH, or crypto, and every label is a debit against it, so a month with no orders costs nothing. What changes is the quote. An international parcel is priced against USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL together, each as one all-in number, so the destination decides the carrier rather than the carrier deciding the destination. Orders reach the queue however they arrive — a store connector, an API call, a pasted DM, or a screenshot — and Billy drafts the addresses, the parcel details, and the customs description before you confirm.
Hey! 2x hoodies (M) 1x tee (L) 😅 Ship to: Maya R. Austin, TX 78701
Connectors, REST API, DMs, and screenshots — one queue, no import mapping, domestic or not.
No monthly minimum to print. Signed webhooks push tracking back to the store and to your stack, wherever the parcel is going.
Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, and TikTok Shop sync into To Ship and push tracking back when you print. The international order that came from an Instagram DM in another timezone goes through Billy instead — paste it or screenshot it, and the address and parcel get drafted the same way.
Via AI tiles: an order that never became a record still becomes a label.
No subscription, pay per label, print and go — none of that changes. What is new is that DHL and FedEx international services are quoted next to USPS on the same parcel, so the destination gets a real comparison instead of a default.
Card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, ACH bank transfer, and crypto all top up the same balance, and international labels are debited from it exactly like domestic ones. Void a shipment and the credit lands back in the wallet.
A DM, a comment thread, a voice note, a screenshot — Billy reads any of them and drafts the label, including the parts an overseas parcel needs. The buyer who messaged you at 3am does not have to become a spreadsheet row first.
No monthly minimum to print, whether you send two international parcels a month or two hundred. Pro is an optional flat plan for when volume makes cheaper label pricing worth it — never a gate on printing.
USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL as four live all-in numbers on the same parcel, and the one you pick is the exact amount that leaves your balance. Cross-border is where that width earns its keep: DHL and FedEx run networks built for it, and a quote list without them cannot tell you what those networks would have charged. Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, and TikTok Shop sync into To Ship and get tracking pushed back when you print, but a connector is never a prerequisite.
REST and JSON, one Bearer header, idempotency keys so a retry cannot double-buy a label, and signed webhooks for tracking events that matter more when a parcel is in transit for two weeks. The dashboard and the API buy from the same balance.

Label ready

An overseas parcel involves more decisions than a domestic one and usually gets less attention, because the tooling makes it awkward. Four all-in prices on one screen, drafted from the message the buyer sent you, is the version that actually gets done.
International tracking is where customer questions pile up, because the parcel is in transit long enough for people to ask. Say the buyer's name and Billy finds the shipment, reads the tracking state back, and can draft the next label against your prepaid balance. This is the real product, not a render.

Plain English in — names, addresses, weights, carriers, services · four carriers quoted per destination · reads the all-in rate back before a cent leaves the wallet · phone, browser, or Telegram.
The same parcel priced by more than one carrier, each an all-in number that is exactly what leaves your prepaid balance. Nothing arrives the day after with an adjustment on it, and voiding a shipment credits the wallet rather than a card statement three weeks out.

If a border crossing is a once-a-quarter event, this is not the page that should move you. These are the sellers for whom overseas orders are a real share of the queue.
TikTok Shop & live commerce
An audience does not stop at a border, and a drop that sells to six countries needs six answers about routing and price, not one default service applied to all of them.

The API is what every shipping API pretends to be. Idempotency that actually works.
